Red River Valley Fair receives international recognition

The Red River Valley Fair Association has received four second-place awards in the Agricultural of Excellence Division from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) headquartered in Springfield, Mo. These awards were received for:  Overall Agricultural Program for the Non-Agricultural Fairgoing Public; Non-Fair Agricultural Event or Program; Fair and Sponsor/Partner Joint Exhibit Program; and Agriculture Photo - Agriculture Series.

There are a total of 15 Agriculture Award categories ­- each divided into five divisions by attendance - that a fair or expo can enter.  The entries are evaluated and judged by a team of industry leaders.  These individuals are selected from the membership of IAFE, which has more than 3000 members from around the globe.

Awards were presented during the Agricultural Awards Breakfast on Dec. 1, during the 119th Annual IAFE Convention held in Las Vegas, Nev. and accepted by Fair General Manager Bryan Schulz and Fair Assistant General Manager Jodi Buresh.

The Red River Valley Fair also won first-place in the communications Division for the Outstanding Newsletter - Email/Web. There are 16 communications categories, each divided into five divisions. The communications awards were presented during the Communications Dinner on Dec. 2.

The Red River Valley Fair takes great pride in knowing their event has been selected for these prestigious honors. The agriculture awards are sponsored by John Deere, which is an avid supporter of the Fair and Expo Industry around the world.
