West Fargo's Sandhills Archery Club is hosting a Bowhunters Shootout on March 19-21, at the Red River Valley Fairground's Hart Ag Building.
The shootout is open to the public, and costs $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 12-18 years. Children younger than 12 get in free. There also is a team money round.
The shootout consists of 30 targets, some moving, in ranges upward of 30 yards. There also will be concessions that include buffalo chili, buffalo barbeques and soda.
Rounds run 5-8 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. For additional information or questions, contact Craig at 701-282-5501, or check out the Sandhill Archery Club Web site at www.sandhillsarchers.org. Proceeds from the event will help fund the nonprofit organization.
The Sandhills Archery Club also has an archery range located at 3001 Charyl Ave., West Fargo. It has more than 25 acres of archery consisting of a 14-target 3-D course, a 14-target field round course, an eight-target lighted practice range, a catch and release fishing pond, a playground for children, a 30-yard heated indoor range, an elevated stand for broadhead shooting, and much more.
