Basies is donating part of the cost of the meal, and the Southwest Optimist Club donated $300 to cover the rest of the expense associated with the meal. The FM Symphony donated the pops concert tickets. The RSVP Metro Youth Partnership brought the Optimists and the SHAC kids together which prompted the donation for the evening of dining and fun.

"Our students are thrilled to earn this night out as a reward for their hard work to stay in school. Several of our SHAC kids have never been to a concert or a nice dinner like Basies puts on for us. We're really grateful that RSVP Metro Youth Partnership helped to make this happen with the Optimists and the FM Symphony," stated Pam Raeszler, SHAC graduation coach. "Our students really blossom when they see how people in the community care about them."
