Summer slate of events at Bonanzaville

Bonanzaville will be hosting Family Days every Wednesday from July 11 until August 22 as part of their summer series of events. Children 12 and under will receive free admission, and enjoy various promotions and activities through partnerships with local area businesses. Family Days provides local families the opportunity to experience Bonanzaville, the goal of which will be educating by preserving the heritage and history of the region. The staff will be regularly updated the website, www.bonanzaville.org, and Facebook page, facebook.com/CassCountyHistoricalSociety, with activities going on every Wednesday.

Bonanzaville will also be celebrating the metro area's grandparents with half price senior admission on July 19. Take your grandchildren or grandparents out to Bonanzaville for a time devoted to sharing yesterday's memories. A special program, "German Migration to the Red River Valley" by Les Bakke will be held at 1:30 p. m. The 45-minute presentation will follow a German family's migration to Marshall County, Minn. and another to Richland County, N.D.

Bonanzaville is a pioneer village and museum operated by the Cass County Historical Society, with a mission to collect, display and interpret artifacts relevant to the history and cultural heritage of the Red River Valley. It is the region's largest historical attraction with 43 buildings, and more than 400,000 artifacts.
