Theft, vandalism to construction equipment estimated at $25,000

CASSELTON, N.D. - A skid-steer loader sitting on a trailer was stolen and another was vandalized on Tuesday near Casselton, the Cass County Sheriff's Office says.

The theft was reported by a construction contractor at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday about half a mile of Casselton along Interstate 94, sheriff's Capt. Rick Majerus said.

The value of the stolen equipment and damage to the skid-steer were estimated at $25,000, he said.
