At 3:18 a.m., West Fargo police pulled over a vehicle for having its headlights off and going through a stop sign at 32nd Avenue and Ninth Street West. The male driver, a juvenile, was deemed to be driving under suspension.

Officers also noticed a checkbook was tossed out a window that did not belong to the occupants of the car.

The owner of the checkbook was contacted and told police that his checkbook and wallet were inside his vehicle, inside a garage that was left open. The man also said he was missing those items along with some cash.

Officers noted other items in the suspects’ vehicle did not belong to the passengers.

The two juveniles were taken to the Cass County Detention Center. The third passenger, Abdiaziz Ahmed, 18, Fargo, was charged with minor in consumption.

Police are asking vehicle owners who believe their vehicle was broken into to contact West Fargo police at (701) 433-5500.
