Volleyball: WF's Schnell takes top honor at S.P.I.K.E. Camp
Jessica Schnell of West Fargo, was presented with the Top C.A.T. Award on her hitting court of the S.P.I.K.E. Performance Camp held in late June at the National Volleyball Center in Rochester, Minn. The award goes to athletes who exhibit the best combination of Communication, Attitude, and Technical (C.A.T.) skills, and is awarded at the sole discretion of the camp coaches.
"This is a physically demanding and mentally challenging camp. The coaches take this award very seriously," camp director Vic Spadaccini said. "Jessica was competing with athletes from around the world. She made a strong impression on the coaches the very first morning. She earned the award with her hard work, excellent court communication skills, great attitude, and good technical skills. All the coaches would like to see her back next year to defend her title."
Jessica is the daughter of Tonya Schnell Milbrandt of West Fargo.
