Wallace president of Western branch in Arizona
Western State Bank has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire the National Bank of Arizona branch located at 1412 East Florence Boulevard in Casa Grande, Ariz. Duane Wallace was recently named President of Western State Bank in Casa Grande, overseeing the banking activities in the Casa Grande market.
Western State Bank entered the Arizona market in 2007 when they opened a location in Chandler. Western's community-focused, relationship-style banking philosophy has helped grow the Chandler bank to over $80 million in total assets. The proximity of the Casa Grande location will provide customers with two convenient locations in Arizona. Casa Grande is located approximately 35 miles south of Chandler. Western will offer full-service banking solutions at the Casa Grande location with plans to open in mid-2012. "We are eager to introduce our community banking philosophy to meet the financial needs of the businesses and residents in the Casa Grande area, similar to the commitment we have made in the other communities we serve," said Brian Houkom, Chief Executive Officer of Western State Bank.
Wallace has over 36 years of experience in community banking in Casa Grande. He has held positions ranging from Commercial Loan Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Branch Manager of multiple locations. He also has experience in consulting for banks. Wallace resides in Casa Grande with his wife, and has been active in community organizations for many years.
