Sgt. Mike Erbes said the Land Rover was westbound on 21st Avenue North at about 1:52 a.m. when it approached a "T" intersection and went through the stop sign, skidded across Broadway, went up the driveway on the other side and struck the corner of the house with enough force to break the corner load-bearing beam.

"The family was home," Erbes said. "The lady who lives there said that she was getting ready for bed and she heard the crash - and I'm sure felt it - and went out and found the gentleman in her driveway with his car wrapped around the house."

Police arrested Dehler, of West Fargo, on suspicion of drunken driving, Erbes said, noting Dehler didn't flee the scene and was "fairly cooperative" with police.

No one was injured in the incident. Dehler was alone in the Land Rover, which sustained substantial front-end damage, Erbes said.
