West Fargo power outage was the result of work on 32nd Avenue South bridge project

WEST FARGO - The temporary power outage Wednesday evening in West Fargo was the result of a broken wire suffered in connection with work being done on the 32nd Avenue South bridge project at the Sheyenne River.

A broken wire resulted in more than 2,500 people losing power about 4:30 p.m. in West Fargo, according to the Cass County Electric Cooperative.

Power was restored to all cooperative members by 5:55 p.m.

Cooperative officials confirmed today that the outage was due to the 32nd Avenue construction project. Crews were beginning to install box culverts in the Sheyenne River when an electrical wire was damaged.
