WF Mystikix win Davies competition

The West Fargo Mystikix, a dance team comprised of Cheney Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders, took first place in the junior high division at the first annual Davies Eagle Elite Invitational on Jan. 15.

Second place in the division went to the Fusion of Fargo's Discovery Middle School, while third place went to the Ben Franklin Sparkettes, also of Fargo.

The Mystikix performed a jazz routine and a hip-hop routine as exhibitions, and competed with their high kick routine.

The Mystikix next will compete in the state competition Saturday in Minot. The team is coached by Kristi Brager and Kelli Clark.
