Wrigley to speak at One Nation Under God luncheon
North Dakota Lt. Governor Drew Wrigley will be the keynote speaker at the annual One Nation Under God Luncheon hosted by the West Fargo Exchange Club. The event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 29 from noon to 1:30 p.m., at the Speedway Event Center, 680 West Main Ave., West Fargo.
Exchange Club leaders adopted the One Nation Under Good project on July 30, 1964, with words of the title taken from the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Since that time, it has been observed annually as a special time of the year when Exchangites join together to increase public appreciation of the important roles religious faith and freedom have played in the nation's history.
In keeping with the event's title, the luncheon will begin with recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a message from Exchange Club President Chris Heise, lunch, and Wrigley's presentation.
The event is open to the public so anyone interested is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Ticket cost is $10. Those wishing to attend should call or email program chairman Joe Watzke at 701-238-0115 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements for the tickets which can be paid for at the door.
