West Fargo’s annual Winter Days is in full swing and will continue through Thursday.

Despite little snow, temperatures have remained moderate and the West Fargo Parks Department has not had to cancel or reschedule any of the many events hosted by the department along with the library and West Fargo VFW, said Kim Wangler, parks recreation specialist.

“The events have been going well,” Wangler said.

On Sunday, the city hosted a sledding party and open skating that was well attended.

But, the lack of major snowfall did allow for a later deadline for Snow Sculpture entries, a contest for residents to submit photos to the parks department of their best outdoor artwork.

The Snow Sculpture contest has been extended until Feb. 27.

Five snowflakes are hidden around town as part of the annual Silver Snowflake Search, and as of Monday, all five were still available, Wangler said.

A schedule of events can be found at www.wfparks.org.
