Moore Engineering to break ground for new facility

Moore Engineering, Inc. has announced plans to construct a new office building at the corner of 10th Avenue and 9th Street East in West Fargo. To help kick-off construction, a Groundbreaking Ceremony will take place Friday, June 29, at 11:30 a.m. on the lot.

The 22,500 square foot one-story office building will serve as corporate headquarters for Moore Engineering, Inc., and will be the base for its North Dakota operations. The exterior of the building will feature a mixture of brick and architectural horizontal ribbed metal panel, and the site will also contain a parking lot for 150 vehicles.

Moore Engineering is a civil engineering and land surveying company providing services to eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. The company has been in business for 47 years, most of them headquartered in West Fargo. There are currently two offices, the one in West Fargo, and the other in Fergus Falls, Minn.; with a total of 100 employees.

Jeff Volk, secretary-treasurer of Moore Engineering, Inc., said realization of the new building "will give us the opportunity to grow with property owned by employees of the company. We've been in our present building for about 28 years so this is a big step for us. It will give our employees a better work environment, allow us to grow, and be a nice addition to the community completing the 9th Street corridor."

He said the goal is for the building to be ready for occupancy by the end of this year or early 2008.

The property for the project was acquired from Menards.
