MSUM to host talks on children's mental health Thursday and Friday
MOORHEAD – Minnesota State University Moorhead is hosting Dr. Sara Langworthy, author of the book “Bridging the Relationship Gap,” as part of the college’s education and human services visiting scholar series.
Langworthy will give talks addressing topics in her book today, Sept. 14, and Friday, Sept. 15. The first talk will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Comstock Memorial Union ballroom. Langworthy will discuss approaches to working one-on-one with children to build self-regulation skills and resilience.
The second talk will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the ballroom, addressing approaches to working with children who have faced stress and trauma. Langworthy will also share practices to help promote children’s learning and mental health.
