FARGO – A woman on the 40th Avenue North bridge over Interstate 29 appeared to be threatening suicide Monday morning, Jan. 29, and emergency workers managed to bring her to safety, according to authorities at the scene.

At 10:06 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report of a suicidal person on the bridge, and by 10:16 a.m. emergency workers had defused the situation, said Cass County Sgt. Tim Briggeman.

"The Cass County Sheriff's Office was heavily involved in removing the victim from that volatile scene," Briggeman said.

No injuries were reported. The woman was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation, authorities said.
