Amundson wins Minnesota Double-Goal Coach award

West Fargo head boys and girls cross country coach Brad Amundson was named a Minnesota Double-Goal Coach winner. Amundson was selected for representing "the very best of coaches who invest in their athletes by filling their emotional tanks, setting positive examples as teammates, and not adhering to a 'win at all costs' mentality."

Amundson has been the head cross country coach for the Packers for three years and was the assistant coach for six years prior. Amundson also has been the assistant distance/mid-distance track and field coach for nine years. Including head coaching, assistant coaching, volunteering, and as a former runner, Amundson is also a science teacher at West Fargo High School.

The three winners were recognized at the Minnesota Twins game at Target Field on April 30 prior to game time and got to enjoy the game from the Fox Sports North suite.
