West Fargo Summer Arts Intensive to present "Peter Pan Jr."
West Fargo Summer Arts Intensive will be performing "Peter Pan Jr." at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, and Thursday, June 21, at West Fargo Sheyenne High School.
This local production showcases a cast and crew of area middle school students grades 5-8. The show features a cast and crew of over 40 artists from around the area and marks the seventh season of the program.
The production is based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's play and is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up. Wendy Darling's father announces she must move out of their nursery, then Peter Pan comes to see her and her siblings and sends them to Neverland. They are introduced to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and Captain Hook. Peter must rescue Wendy when she is taken captive by the captain who has sinister plans for Peter and his crew.
Led by local arts educators and professionals, West Fargo Summer Arts Intensive strives to develop the personal and artistic talents of young artists as they gain an understanding of theater production and performance.
