UPDATE: Phone outage at Fargo city departments resolved
UPDATE: The telephone problems at city of Fargo offices have been fixed, the city said in a news release shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.
FARGO – The city of Fargo said Wednesday morning that as part of a large outage affecting its telephone service provider, city departments were unable to place or receive phone calls.
The public was encouraged to contact city departments through email at www.FargoND.gov/email until the problem is fixed.
The 911 line at the Red River Regional Dispatch Center is not affected by the phone outage and remains operational.
Residents of Cass or Clay counties needing police, firefighters or medics are encouraged to contact 911 until the outage is resolved.
