U.S. commerce secretary to join Rep. Cramer at trade-related town hall in Fargo

FARGO—Rep. Kevin Cramer will be joined by U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Censky at a trade-related town hall forum planned from 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the North Dakota State College of Science auditorium, 1305 19th Ave. N.

The purpose of the visit is to engage Trump administration officials on the president's trade strategies, according to a press release issued by Cramer's office.

While in town, the delegation will also tour TrueNorth Steel and visit with employees.

Space at the town hall event is limited. Those interested in attending must RSVP to Kaitlyn.Weidert@mail.house.gov for details.

The North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party will host a counter event at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at a farm near Horace at 11601 25th St. S. According to a press release, the event will allow farmers the chance to voice their concerns about the impacts of the trade war.
