FARGO — City staff is scheduled to begin moving into the new City Hall building over the next three weeks starting Monday, Aug. 27, the city said.

The public will still need to go to the current City Hall where staff will serve them until the new building opens to the public on Sept. 17.

Two city offices will also move from their regular location during the interim. The City Assessor's Office, which has been located at a rented space down the street, will move to the main floor of the current building Monday. The Community Development Division, which has been located at the old Public Health building, will move to the current building Thursday, Aug. 30.

The city said in a news release that it expects transactions with staff will take a bit longer than normal because of the move. If possible, it said the public should consider calling or emailing to get faster responses.
