Public input sought on Main Avenue reconstruction in Fargo
FARGO—The Fargo City Commission will hold a brown bag meeting to present design alternatives for the Main Avenue reconstruction project from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the City Commission room at City Hall.
Additionally, a public input meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the same location. The public input meeting will allow residents to ask questions regarding the proposed reconstruction plan.
Any written statements or comments about the project must be mailed by Wednesday, May 23, to Jacob Nordick at 1 N. 2nd St. Suite 226, Fargo, ND 58102. Statements can also be emailed to email@example.com with the subject line "public input meeting."
SRF Consulting has been working with the North Dakota Department of Transportation and the city to develop design alternatives for the reconstruction of Main Avenue between Second Street and University Drive. Proposed changes include a five-lane road with no new on-street parking. Construction is tentatively planned for 2019.
