Boys

Mustangs

Coach: Troy Thorson (1st season)

Last year's finish: 13th place State

Who's gone: Jakob Sailer, Nate Rohrer

Key returners: Troy Mullenberg Sr.; Seth Benson, Sr.; Ben Kensok, Sr.; Adam Roy Sr.; Jacob Knodel, Sr.

Coach's comments: "We need to take steps this season to become more competitive. After a more consistent summer of training the guys are ready to make a jump this season. We look to improve on our performances at EDC and State from last season. Again, we are looking for our younger runners to have a big impact on our team by the end of the season."

Packers

Coach: Brad Amundson

Last season: 16th at state

Who's gone: Adam Dufner, Brandon Huseby

Key returners: Jace Dullum Sr.; Braxton Bruer Sr.; Aiden Biwer Jr.

Coach's comments: "The goal is to have our best meet at the end of the season. We're looking to have the best performance we've had as a guy's team in five years. We've got a good group of seniors that can help us out with that."

Girls

Mustangs

Who's gone: Caleigh Anderson, Lucy Glessner, Brenna Heitmann, Elisabeth Kolb

Key returners: Katrina Dietz Sr;, Mya Bruhschwein Sr.; Onnica Stansbury Soph.; Eden Smith Soph.

Coach's comments: "We will have a really good core group returning this season. As we get into our meet schedule and face competition, this group will be counted on to keep improving every week and be ready to put our best performance together at the end of the season at the EDC and State meet. We will also need to rely on a group of first year runners to play a huge role on this team by the end of the season."

Packers

Coach: Brad Amundson

Last season: 8th at state

Who's gone: Madison Nelson, Emmy Burtsfield

Key returners: Hope Pringle Jr., Emily Hanson Jr., Clare Boldingh So.

Coach's comments: "Like the boys, we want to be at our best by the end of the season. We've got a good group of seniors and our junior and sophomore class are girls will also help us reach that goal."
