MERCER, ND -- A Mandan woman is dead after being involved in a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday, June 30, at 12:56 p.m. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a group of motorcycles were traveling east on Highway 200 when a deer struck a 2001 Harley Davidson with two occupants. The driver of the 2001 Harley was thrown into the ditch and the passenger fell onto the roadway. A 2012 Harley then hit the passenger that was on the roadway.
MANDAN, ND -- Three Bismarck teenage girls were hurt after a car crash near Mandan on Saturday, June 30, at 4:45 p.m. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the three girls were traveling west from Bismarck to Mandan when they drove into the median, overcorrected and rolled into the west-bound lane; striking another car. The three girls were taken to Sanford's Bismarck hospital for their injuries. The two occupants in the other car weren't injured.
STERLING, ND -- A Bismarck man is dead after running his motorcycle into a semi on Saturday, June 30, at 5:28 p.m. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was headed south on Highway 83 when he crossed the center line and hit the semi's front driver-side bumper. The driver of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old Bismarck man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver wasn't injured.
Update: Sanford's air conditioning is back on, after one of its main units failed Tuesday night. The hot temperatures forced the hospital to shut down the Urgent Care Clinic and its South University Medical Center on Thursday.
HENNING, Minn. -- We now know the name of the man found dead in Henning, MN on Friday, June 8th. According to family spokesperson and aunt of the victim, Rebecca Johnson, the deceased is 19-year-old Jordan Bolgrean of Barnesville. In the release sent out by the family, Bolgrean was an Army graduate who struggled with drug addiction. Authorities haven't confirmed the identity or what the cause of death is yet.
BARNESVILLE -- A structure suffered minor damage after a grassfire spread to a farm shop in Barnesville on Saturday, April 28th. According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the fire was first reported at 1:15 p.m. at 120th St. S. The grassfire was supposed to be a controlled burn, but then it spread to the shop. The fire was out and under control within a couple minutes. Nobody was injured.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have issued a Travel Alert for northeastern North Dakota due to snow covered roads and reduced visibility. Cities included in the Travel Alert are Grand Forks, Drayton, Grafton, Pembina, and surrounding areas. A Travel Alert means conditions are such that motorists can still travel in these areas, but should be advised of rapidly changing conditions.
KINDRED -- A storage unit is a total loss after a fire in Kindred on Saturday, March 10th. According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, crews responded to 141 Rustad Drive in Kindred at around 10:15 am and found a storage unit on fire. Crews were able to put out the fire by about 2 pm, but the building was a total loss. The unit was managed by CHS Dakota Plains AG and held an empty fuel truck, pickup truck and a passenger vehicle; all of which were totalled.
FARGO -- Fargo Police are looking for a suspect after they say someone fired a handgun into the ground in the early hours of Saturday, March 10.
